Their stories

The confectionist

Based in Melbourne, The Confectionist was introduced to Shift by Josh Rayson at Corporate Finance. Josh has been working with Shift since 2019.

The Confectionist used Shift’s Equipment Line to fund and fitout their first location in Altona, enabling them to grow and expand their business.

The Confectionist currently has three stores and are looking to open a fourth to spread even more biscuit magic around Melbourne.

American Doughnut Kitchen

Since 1950, the American Doughnut Kitchen (ADK) has been providing a friendly service alongside the freshest hot jam donuts. An icon in Melbourne, they’re growing to be one of Australia’s most loved, recognised and nostalgic food truck experiences.

The American Doughnut Kitchen used Shift’s Equipment Line to fund the fitout of their new store opening in Prahran Market, allowing them to expand their business while preserving their cash.

Mayfair Bakey & Patisserie

Mayfair Bakery and Patisserie, a locally loved, family-run business with a proud 155-year history, is a true local institution in Port Adelaide. Their beloved wholesale baked goods are now reaching even more customers with the launch of a supermarket range of gluten-free cheesecakes.

Talented pastry chef Phil Donnelly leveraged Shift’s Equipment Line to establish a brand-new kitchen, tailored for his expansion. The flexible repayment terms provided the financial breathing room he needed to turn this exciting new venture into a reality.

L'atelier Gourmet Food

L’atelier Gourmet Food was born from a shared passion for food, wine, and friendship. You’ll now find them every weekend at Perth’s top Farmers Markets.

Shift’s Overdraft has helped L’atelier grow by keeping cash flow steady — especially important with long customer payment terms and upfront produce costs.

Bramich’s Concreting

Family-owned business, Bramich’s Concrete has been supplying the North West and West Coast of Tasmania since 2006.

Their Business Overdraft enables streamlined day-to-day cashflow and gives confidence in their ability to make strategic, future purchases without delay.

Rouleur Wine Co

Growing up on a farm in the Yarra Valley as the son of a grape grower, it seems Rouleur founder Matt East was destined for a career in winemaking.

Recently Matt opened a cellar door, giving his business a permanent place to call home. Shift’s Overdraft was a great fit for Matt’s business, allowing him to invest in more grapes and infrastructure in 2025.

Sneaker Laundry

Eugene at The Sneaker Laundry used Shift’s Business Overdraft to back his vision for a sneaker cleaning café. With the right business finance in place, the first café opened its doors in Martin Place and quickly proved successful. Building on that momentum, Eugene now plans to have opened six locations by the end of the year.

Shift’s range of credit and payment products enable businesses to take control of their cash flow, purchase assets, streamline trade terms and choose the right financial products for their ever-changing needs. As dedicated business specialists, Shift provides financial certainty to businesses so they can operate and grow.
